Hands on Review of Planet Hugger Home Conversion Pack

It is an easy and affordable way to take the plunge and never look back at toxic, harmful cleaning products.  For me, I’ve been sort of easing my way into a greener way of life, mostly for the protection of my family. I hate having nasty chemicals around, never knowing if a residue is left that could be unsafe for my kids. This conversion pack is ideal as it has everything you need to clean your entire house.

I reviewed the entire conversion pack for 2 weeks and here is my opinion.

All Natural Laundry Detergent and All Natural Fabric Softener Dryer Sheets

I’m so glad that the Planet Hugger line of products are allergy friendly because I normally only use free and clear products. They are true to their word. I have been using the Planet Hugger all natural laundry detergent and fabric softening dryer sheets and like the results. The scent is light lavender kissed. I can smell the scent straight from the bottle but there are no strong perfumes after the laundry is clean. I feel like the products clean just as well as my name-brand free & clear detergent and softener sheets.

I like the compact laundry detergent bottle that contains 3X concentrate detergent equal to 32 loads. I’ve tried 3X detergent before and couldn’t use it because the chemicals were too strong. My son actually had to go to the doctor for an outbreak. With Planet Hugger, it is gentle on skin and the planet.

All Natural Foamy Hand Soap and All Natural Dishwashing Soap

My kids like the All Natural Foamy Hand Soap because of the suds, I like it because it cleans while being gentle on skin. The hand soap is allergy friendly so I feel confident having it out not only for my family to use but also in the guest bath. You never know if someone could be allergic to other scented soaps – like me! The foamy soap delivers a very light lavender fresh smelling scent when you use the product. It cleans very well, leaving hands soft and not dried out.

I cooked bacon in the oven last night which left a huge mess on my pans. This was no match for Planet Hugger All Natural Dishwashing Soap. If it can cut through greasy, baked on bacon, it can do anything. The dishwashing soap really suds up a lot. I’m amazed at how many suds a small portion of the soap makes.  The gentle scent is that of lavender and citrus, I smell the citrus most which is pleasant in the kitchen.

Ingredients:

Hand Soap: Purified water, plant surfactants, glycerin, lavender essential oil, mild preservative.
Dishwashing soap: Purified water, plant surfactants, orange rind oil, lavender essential oil, food grade preservative.

All Natural All Purpose Spray, All Natural Glass Cleaner Spray, and All Natural Floor & Surface Cleaner

The All Natural All Purpose Spray offers a sudsy cleaner for use throughout your house. I especially like using it for my kitchen counters, sink, and stove because it cleans very easily and because of the scent. Coming from a normally no-scents allowed person, this is a huge deal. The scent is crisp apple and again is allergy-friendly. It is a light apple scent that is perfect for the kitchen. I dislike using cleaning products that smell too much like chemicals, especially in my kitchen. The all purpose spray delivers excellent cleaning power.

The All Natural Glass Cleaner is safe for glass and mirrors. It also suds up very easily. A little goes a long way with Planet Hugger products. The glass cleaner worked very well in my home offering streak free results.

Planet Hugger Floor & Surface Cleaner is my #1 Favorite product now. I use it on all of my Tarkett flooring throughout the house. For mopping, you need just 1 part cleaner to 20 parts water. I added a bit too much and had a really sudsy bucket the first time. I was happy with the results though. I liked how the clean suds cleaned my floors. With a quick rinse, there was nothing left but clean floors. I was afraid that since I did add about double the product that it would leave a sticky residue – you know the feeling, right? Well, it didn’t. I like that I don’t have to use a lot of the product to get good results.

I also use the Floor & Surface Cleaner for my bathroom counters, sinks, and tubs. It cleans very well. I like the light lemon scent it leaves behind, it says “clean” to me. I also like that the bathtub doesn’t smell like or have residue leftover from harmful chemicals when my kids take a bath. I’m forever trying to rinse the tub after cleaning usually to be sure nothing is left behind.

All purpose: Purified water, plant surfactants.
Floor and surface cleaner: Water, Natural detergent blend.
Glass cleaner: Purified water, plant surfactants, vinegar.

All Natural Toilet Cleaner

The toilet is one place that I don’t mind chemicals because I want it to be clean. However, having a product that cleans well and is all natural is even better. I had to try it to see if it was good. I was surprised at how well the product clung to the sides, the suds it created, and how thick the product was. It did a good job cleaning my toilets and left a clean, pine scent.  I could not tell the difference between this product and the toilet cleaner. It is refreshing to have a light Pine scent instead of fumes that take your breath away!

Toilet Cleaner: Plant and sugar derived acids, plant surfactants, agricultural thickener.

Final thoughts on Planet Hugger

I’m a tough sell for buying products just because they are green or all natural. I do like that Planet Hugger products are safe for the environment but most importantly for me is that they are safer around my kids. I like that the products are all-natural with no harmful, toxic chemicals. I really like that they are allergy-friendly so my entire family can be around the products without breaking out. I like the way Planet Hugger products clean with lots of suds and an ever so light scent.
