Our moms are special but sometimes we need a little help with Mother’s Day gift ideas. Below is a gift guide for moms of various interests. Be sure to have your kids make mom and grandma special gifts and cards for Mother’s Day. These are the items that will be treasured and kept for years to come. I know that if I woke up to a cute set up of blocks like pictured above, I’d be so happy that I’d tell everyone what my kids (and husband) did for me for Mother’s Day. MakingFriends.com has a great listing of Mother’s Day gifts that your kids can make at various ages. Help your kids make a special shirt with fabric paint for mom, write “World’s Greatest Mom” on it and include handprints, hearts, etc. Younger children can make a photo collage of their favorite memories and put it in a frame. Older kids may want to try their hand at creating a scrapbook gift to honor their mom. For babies and young kids, stamp their handprints in plaster of paris for a keepsake that will stay little long after they’ve grown up. You also make stepping stones in a similar fashion for her garden. Places like Lowe’s and Home Depot offer Kids Workshops weekly with wooden crafts. Lowe’s is offering a free Mother’sDay Trellis Planter craft this year. Home Depot is offering a Mother’s Day kids workshop to plant a flower or mom or grandma this year.

Check with your local day spas for specials for Mother’s Day. You can usually get a deal on gift certificates. Moms can use the certificates whenever they want for whatever treatment they’d like. Or create your own spa basket and include super soft towels and washclothes, fuzzy slippers, plush robe, her favorite scented lotions, soaps, salts, and sprays.
Mother’s Day Flowers
It’s been a tradition for several years now in our family to buy our moms the biggest, most beautiful hanging baskets that we can find. I love searching for the most beautiful flowers for my mom.
