Why Ohio Resale and Consignment, and What’s the Difference?
The terms “resale” and “consignment” are often used synonymously, but that’s not exactly correct. Resale stores usually pay you cash immediately for the items you sell to them. Consignment stores, on the other hand, traditionally pay you once your item sells in their store. From the buying standpoint, they are completely the same.
Children’s resale and consignment stores have really evolved over the years, and they are now a wonderful place to find the gently used, current, better name-brand clothing your kids want at a fraction of regular retail cost. The general rule of thumb at consignment and resale stores is that you’ll pay about 1/3 what you’d pay regular retail. Talk about stretching your dollar! Add in the cash you can get for selling your gently used clothes that your kids have grown out of, and your savings are even greater.
